Sewing Stitches. Patchwork Pleasures.

I hope you will enjoy your visit here.  I love to sew and I love Patchwork also.  I am self taught and learning all the time.  If you also share a love of Sewing, Patchwork, Doll making, Bag making, Animal Backpack Making - you are welcome to have a look around and say hello.  

The above photo is my very small sewing room, upstairs in a small alcove.  As you can see, you can still manage if you only have a small space to work in.  

Over the years, since my children were tots, I have made a few different Patchwork Quilts, Bags with Patchwork Pockets, Animal backpacks, Heirloom Dolls and a few items of clothing.  This is my place to display my projects and to continue learning and sharing more.

Many of these projects were made many years ago (some over 25 - 30 years ago) others, were made at different times since way back then.  Many are my real beginners efforts and are not 'perfect' as I was teaching myself at the time and learning as I went - but even with my lack of knowledge and experience (at those times)  - I and the people who received them, felt the Handmade Gifts they received, were and still are lovely ,appreciating not only the  Handmade Gift made with lots of love but also the time and effort that went into making them too.  

I feel over the years,  with practice, I have improved.  From being willing to 'have a go' and 'give it a go' and I 'kept on plodding on'.  I can definitely see the difference from my first beginnings.  I encourage all who would love to sew but are a bit scared to or feel they could never sew or are not experienced enough or have never tried - to just - 'Have a go and learn to Sew'!
